BETTER PROTECTION - BETTER OUTCOMES
One Application. Sealed. Done.
Other navel protection products clean the site and hope for the best. Iodine disinfects on contact, then it's gone leaving no barrier, no ongoing protection and most protocols call for two or more applications per animal.
UMBIREZ™ works differently. Alcohol strips the site clean in seconds, then a patented bioresin coats the navel or ear tag site in a waterproof layer, dries in as little as 2 hours and sealing out bacteria for the entire drying period.
Why use Umbirez™?
One product, one application, ongoing protection.
Seals as well as cleanses
Dries the navel in as little as 2 hours, faster than iodine
Cuts applications per animal compared to iodine, less handling, less time per animal at scale
Waterproof for the entire drying window, holds up in wet and dirty conditions
Bittering agent stops licking before it starts
Dye flags every treated animal instantly
Food and feed grade, no antibiotics, no withdrawal period to manage
500mL bottle, approximately 100 applications
Single application is sufficient when complete coverage of the navel is achieved.

Trialled & Proven
UMBIREZ™ was tested in the largest navel protection study ever conducted, peer-reviewed and independently run across 6,840 animals in real commercial farm conditions, head-to-head against 10% iodine. The result: 21% lower lamb mortality than iodine, meaning 18 more lambs survive per 1,000 born, and lambs treated with UMBIREZ™ were heavier at 8 weeks than those treated with iodine.
What others are saying
“Traditionally we have used iodine spray twice a day up until about a month old. I’ve really enjoyed that the Umbirez is a one-off spray. At both farms we noticed a significant reduction of calves with navel infections (in comparison to the earlier part of the season without UMBIREZ™). We also noticed reduced navel sucking in calves that had it applied from day one.”
“Using Umbirez has given me real confidence that our lambs are properly protected. It puts a solid protective coat on the navel and dries it so quickly that we only ever need one application. This season we’ve had the healthiest lambs we’ve ever raised, and after seeing the results, I won’t be going back to iodine.”
“Product was easy to use and adhered itself well to the calves navel it was very noticeable even after a period of time how well it stayed on. I preferred spraying on the product it was easy to use. We didn’t experience any navel infections in the calves that had the product used on them and I would recommend to others.”
“On post mortem a number of lambs had died from navel infection seeding through the liver and body. The lambs get weighed and tagged at birth and we normally spray the navel with iodine, so I’ll suggest the team use UMBIREZ™ this year.”
“All my calves get their navels sprayed with UMBIREZ™ as soon as I bring them into the shed. I’ve personally found this works way better than iodine-based sprays. Since switching, I haven’t had any navel infections and the healing has been so much cleaner and quicker.
UMBIREZ™ cleanses, dries and creates a long-lasting waterproof barrier while the navel dries. There’s a bittering agent to stop licking, a dye so you can see who’s been treated and it’s made with safe, residue-free ingredients. Navels are prone to infection, si it’s a simple step that makes a big difference! Highly recommend.”

A unique blend of natural polymer and metal salts that form a protective seal at the site to keep environmental pathogens out. Also contains a high % of ethanol to cleanse the navel on contact.
-
It consists of feed grade materials; a combination of a natural polymer combined with low levels of metal salts in an ethanol base. As for all navel products it’s not recommended for ingestion when wet due to the ethanol content but there are no specific requirements to prevent contact between ewe and lamb, or cow and calf, post application.
